Structural Crashworthiness Sled Facility

The impact/decelerator sled is capable of impact testing up to a force of 800 kN (180 kips) and 169 kJ (125,000 ft-lbs) of energy. The sled is designed for structural impact testing of components and subassemblies. The decelerator capability allows for test articles mounted on the sled to be subjected to most of the standard North American and European regulatory deceleration pulses.
